Is your home a good candidate for solar?  

 

Sun Exposure
Do you have exposure from the sun from the (in order of highest efficiency):
  • South
  • Southwest
  • Southeast
  • West
  • East

Shading  Your solar panels require unobstructed sunlight in order to produce electricity.  As a neighborhood matures, trees may become a source of shading. 

 

Roof Condition Because our solar products will work for the next 25-years, we know that at some point, roofing will be necessary. We can remove your panels once they have been installed. However, if a new installation is to occur, it may make sense to consider re-roofing prior to installation. Often, we will work with your roofing company (Supernova Solar also maintains a referral list) to install alongside them during the installation process.

 

Do you have enough unencumbered roof space? Each panel is approximately 64" x 29" and anywhere between 8 to 48 panels may be necessary for your project.

 

Is your current electrical system able to accommodate a solar system?
A master electrician will evaluate your current system and determine if changes are needed.

Example 3: Ground mount installation
    • The ground mount shown is equal in size to Example 1 in terms of output, # of panels and environmental impact, but would cost about 10-15% less.
    • Ground mounts are easily scalable and can have as few as 8 panels or can exceed 50 panels
